ABOUT US

UK Charity - Free Grace Evangelistic Association

The Free Grace Evangelistic Association was formed as a UK based charity in April 2010. Registration with the Charity Commission was completed in November 2010 (Registered Charity No. 1139084). The Association has the following formal Objects, as set out in its constitution:

The advancement of the Christian religion worldwide for the honour and glory of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, in obedience to the great commission (Mark 16. 15, 2 Timothy 2. 2), showing compassion and providing assistance to the poor, orphans, widows and the sick (James 1. 27).

The Association’s Bye-Laws (issued under the Constitution) state that these Objects are to be furthered by the following means:

  1. Free distribution of the Holy Scriptures to churches, institutions, organisations or individuals in poor communities. The copies of the Holy Scriptures shall be the Authorised (King James) Version in the English language; and in other languages they shall be those available versions that are closest to the text and to the principles on which the Authorised (King James) Version was translated.
  2. Translation, publication and free distribution of Christian literature to churches, institutions, organisations or individuals in poor communities. This Christian literature shall be consistent in doctrine with the Declaration of Faith of the Free Grace Evangelistic Association and the above policy on Bible versions.
  3. Teaching on the Word of God, including at public meetings in connection with the free distribution of the Holy Scriptures and Christian literature.
  4. Support for orphans and other humanitarian assistance authorized by the Trustees.

The Declaration of Faith of the Free Grace Evangelistic Association can be viewed by clicking on the link Declaration of Faith of the FGEA

Given that the Great Commission in Mark 16 and Matthew 28 does not set any geographical boundaries as to where the Gospel should be preached, the founding Trustees of the Free Grace Evangelistic Association concluded that the charity should not do so either.

The Free Grace Evangelistic Association seeks to uphold the doctrine of the inspiration and providential preservation of the word of God, and to spread the most faithful translations of the Bible available in a particular language. In the English language this is the Authorised (King James) Version. For more information about Bible versions, the necessity of a faithful translation and warnings about modern corrupt Bible versions see the website of the Trinitarian Bible Society (TBS) - www.trinitarianbiblesociety.org.

Anyone may provide donations or come to open meetings. This website has been developed to provide regular public updates for supporters or other interested parties.

The aim of the Free Grace Evangelistic Association is not to push a particular denominational line, but that the church of Christ might be edified through sound spiritual literature, especially on the most vital points of the Christian faith centering on Christ and the Holy Scriptures.

The Free Grace Evangelistic Association is an unincorporated charitable association (whose Objects have been inserted into the Charity Commission’s Model Constitution GD3), and is governed by subscribing members who elect annually a Management Committee (who are also the Trustees).
